West Coast Domestic Workers’ Association is now the Migrant Workers Centre! After many months of discussion and planning, our name change was voted in unanimously by our members at the November 25, 2017 AGM. Our name change is in response to WCDWA’s expanded role in helping caregivers and other migrant workers. The majority of our clients continue to be caregivers, but WCDWA also responds to the needs of other at-risk migrant workers in BC, who would otherwise not be able to access similar services. WCDWA will continue to use our current name until our official launch at our annual Post Valentine’s Dance. This year’s dance is on Saturday, February 24, 2018, so please make sure to attend this momentous event. For tickets and information, please call us at 604-669-4482.
